閉店のお知らせ
今冬、開業30周年を迎える Niseko343 です。長年にわたりご愛顧いただき節目の年を迎えられますこと、心から感謝申し上げます。併せまして、ここに大切なご報告をさせていただきます。
Niseko343 は、2023年3月末日をもちまして閉店することを決断いたしました。
シーズンに入ってからでは、お客様、お取引先様にご迷惑をおかけすると思い、少し早めのご報告に至った次第です。
振り返りますと、店舗経営・小売業として仕入れ販売の実績もない中、ニセコに集う方々へ、海外のスキーリゾートを彩るようなウエアやグッズを紹介したい、当時マイナーだったモーグル競技とその選手たちを応援できる環境を作りたい、そうした思いから実現に至った開業でした。
小さな店舗ではありましたが、開業当時の「北海道内で、初のリゾート内におけるセレクトショップ」という謳い文句は、新米経営者だった自分にとっては密かな誇りでした。
バブル景気の終焉と時を同じくしての開業という難しい船出ではあったものの、スキーブームの恩恵を受け、素人経営ながら何とか無難なスタートを切ることができました。その後も商品を充実させ、ニセコエリアでは他店に先駆けてパウダー用のスキーレンタルを展開するなど、ニセコならではのセレクトショップとして挑戦を続けてまいりました。
しかしながら後年は、諸般の事情により店舗移転を余儀なくされ、また、スキー人口減や競合店の増加、 IT 化によるビジネス環境の変化もあり、ここ数年はコロナ禍によるインバウンド減の影響を受けるなど、幾多の困難にも直面しました。
そのような中でも、30年という節目のシーズンまで無事に営業を継続することができましたのは、ひとえにお客様、お取引先様、スタッフにも恵まれ、妻の応援があったからこそです。
重ねまして、Niseko343 に関ってくださった全ての方々に心より感謝申し上げます。
残り半年、来年3月末日の閉店まで頑張ります。わたくしはニセコから離れるわけではなく、アフターサービスも可能な限り責任を持って行います。
どうか最後までお付き合いの程、よろしくお願い致します。

Notice of shop closure
This winter marks the 30th anniversary for Niseko 343. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our customers and friends for your patronage over the years. At the same time, we would like to share some important information: We have decided to close the store end of March 2023. To avoid inconveniencing our customers and business partners we would like to share this information early on.
Looking back to when I started the shop, I had no track record of purchasing and selling goods or retail business. Yet, I wanted to introduce apparel and goods from overseas ski resorts to people who gathered in Niseko.
We also wanted to create an environment to support mogul competitions and athletes, which were minor at the time, so I set up shop with these goals.
Although a small shop, we were called ”The first select shop in a Hokkaido resort” at the time of opening. As a new manager I secretly felt proud of this.
It was quite a challenge to open the shop during end of the bubble economy, however, we were able to get off to a safe start thanks to the benefits of the ski boom.
Since then, we have continued to enhance our products and continued to challenge ourselves as a small select shop unique to Niseko.
Niseko343 was the first shop developing ski rental for powder ahead of other stores in the area for example.
In later years, due to various circumstances, we were forced to relocate our store and in the past few years we have faced a number of difficulties.
One of them is the decrease of inbound tourism due to the Corona virus. However, other factors such as a decrease in ski population, increase in competition and changes in the business environment due to online sales have been affecting us too.
Even under such circumstances, the fact that we were able to continue our business safely until this milestone season, celebrating 30 years, is only because we have been blessed with good customers, business partners, and staff.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved in the success of Niseko343.
With six months remaining, I will do my best until the closing on the last day of March next year. I will remain in Niseko and will take responsibility for after-sales service as much as possible.
